Magazine Writing
As a writer and editor, I’ve brought campus stories to life in a variety of ways. From in-depth interviews to breaking major campus happenings into fun and engaging vignettes, I’ve harnessed the power of stories to increase alumni pride, celebrate world-changers, and make sure audiences pay attention.
When Westminster was ready to announce a comprehensive campus plan, I led a team in creating a magazine issue that spelled out not only the what of the plan, but the why. Along the way, we celebrated the learning that the campus facilities had already enabled and educated the readers about how students were ready for spaces that would usher in new ways of learning and innovating.
Every organization has a COVID story. Westminster’s pandemic journey was marked by leadership, operational excellence, and students and teachers who made the most of the unprecedented times. I led a team of contributors in pulling the audience into a dynamic cover package that gave readers a peek into virtual learning, universal testing, acts of community service, and more through graphics, first-person stories, and short narratives.
